Data types available from Micro Focus APM

  1. Choose "Create New Collector" or "Use Existing Collector"

  2. Select data types (source supported data types will automatically be available in the UI; ensure Destination can ingest chosen data types

  3. Collector (Source Mediator)
    1. Metric Data Type BPM (Source)
    2. Metric Data Type SAM (Source)
    3. Metric Data Type SLM (Source)

  4. Distributors (Destination Mediator)
    1. Metric Data Type (Destination)

  5. Select Continue

Step 6a: Configure Source Metrics



Step 6a: Configure Source Metrics

  1. Schedule Name: the scheduled frequency which StreamWeaver will collect from Micro Focus APM (5 Minutes recommended)

  2. Averaging Period: as Metric data flows into Micro Focus APM, it calculates summary data from fine grained samples (example, every 5 minutes, or every 15 minutes). This field tells Micro Focus APM which kind of summarized data StreamWeaver should extract. A general rule is that the Period should match the Data Window.

  3. Data Latency: specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Window is placed

  4. Data Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect metric data from Micro Focus APM (5 minutes recommended)

  1. Period: will be deprecated

  2. Business Applications: a list of applications auto generated by querying the Micro Focus APM instance

  3. Flow Transactions: a list of transactions auto generated by querying the Micro Focus APM instance

  4. Select "Create Collectors and Continue"
