Configure Source


Data types available from Elasticsearch

  1. Select data types (source supported data types will automatically be available in the UI; ensure Destination can ingest chosen data types

  2. Collector (Source Mediator)
    1. Event Data Type (Source)
    2. Metric Data Type (Source)

Step 6a: Configure Source Events



Step 6a: Configure Source Events

  1. Collection Schedule: the scheduled frequency which StreamWeaver will collect event data from Dynatrace (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  2. Data Time Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  3. Data Latency: specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Time Window is placed

  4. Index : Specify the name of the Elastic Index to collect data from.

  5. For the Title Field you can use a regular expression to select data from the field.

  1. Status Manager: a selection of Statuses is automatically populated from Elastic; select "Select All" or a specific subset of Statuses

Step 6b: Configure Source Metrics

  1. Collection Schedule: the scheduled frequency which StreamWeaver will collect event data from Aternity (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  2. Data Time Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect from Aternity (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  3. Data Latency: specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Time Window is placed

  4. Index : Type the name of the Elastic Index

  5. Timestamp Field Name : The field from Elastic to be used for the time stamp for the data.

  6. Log Requests/Responses : Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  7. After configuring the selected data types Alerts, Events, Metrics and Topology, select "Create Collectors and Continue"
