Connect to Dynatrace SaaS/Managed Source

  1. Host: Dynatrace SaaS/Managed Gateway or LB VIP port

  2. Port: Dynatrace SaaS/Managed Gateway or LB VIP port

    1. Typical port: 443: SaaS/Managed HTTP controlled

  3. HTTPS: If Gateway or LB VIP port uses HTTPS, check this box

  5. Max Connections

  6. Token: To get authenticated to use the Dynatrace API, you need a valid API token. Access to the API is fine-grained, meaning that you also need the proper permissions assigned to the token. For assistance in generating tokens click here

  7. Environment ID: the environment ID (similar to an Account ID) applies only to on-premise (Managed) implementations: leave blank for SaaS

  8. Connection Timeout

    Use arrow to access Proxy Settings

  9. Uses Proxy : Select if you need to configure a proxy server

  10. Proxy Host: Hostname of the proxy server

  11. Proxy Port: Port number configured on proxy server for this connection

    Select "Save Origin and Validate"
    1. If there's no error, the connection was successful
