Connect: IBM Cloud Event Management
STEP FOUR: CONNECT TO DESTINATION
- Host: IBM Cloud Event Management Gateway or LB VIP port
- Agent FQDN: the fully qualified domain name of the server hosting the IBM Cloud Event Management Agent that will receive the MET data (normally this is the same as host field)
- Port: IBM Cloud Event Management Gateway or LB VIP port
- Uses HTTPS: If IBM Cloud Event Management Gateway or LB VIP port uses HTTPS, check this box
- Circuit Breaker Max Failures: will trip the circuit breaker (to stop overloading the destination) when this number of API failures have occurred
- Circuit Breaker Call Timeout: will trip the circuit breaker (to stop overloading the destination) when an API call has taken longer than this time (in seconds) to complete
- Circuit Breaker Reset Timeout: once tripped, the circuit breaker will attempt to reset after this time (in minutes) has expired. When the circuit breaker first resets, it goes into a `half-open` state that will allow the first call through and not allow subsequent ones. If the first call succeeds, it will move to a `fully-open` state and return to normal operation
- Buffer Size: Advanced option: leave default value
- Group Size: Advanced option: leave default value
- Flush Intervals
- Click Save IBM Cloud Event Management and Validate
- If there's no error, the connection was successful
