Data types consumable by CA Operational Intelligence

  1. Select new or existing Mediator
    1. Create New Collector
    2. Use Existing Collector

  2. Select data types: Event (source supported data types will automatically be available in the UI; ensure Destination can ingest chosen data types)

  3. Select data types: Metric (source supported data types will automatically be available in the UI; ensure Destination can ingest chosen data types). Note that Topology is not selected as CA Operational Intelligence consumes Event and Metric data only

  4. Distributors (Destination Mediator) - Event Data Type (Destination)

  5. Distributors (Destination Mediator) - Metric Data Type (Destination)

  6. Select Continue

Step 6a: Configure Source Metrics


Step 6a: Configure Destination Metrics

  1. Select Data Type to access configuration screens (do not click "Create Distributors and Continue" - Step 4 below - until all Data Types have been configured)
    1. Metric (selected)
    2. Event

  2. Tenant ID: Choose the correct CA Operational Intelligence tenant user ID from the listed selections. If you do not know your tenant ID, contact the CA Operational Intelligence administrator.

  3. Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  4. Select "Create Collectors and Continue" (after all Data Types have been configured)



Step 6b: Configure Source Events


Step 6b: Configure Destination Events

  1. Select Data Type to access configuration screens (do not click "Create Distributors and Continue" - Step 4 below - until all Data Types have been configured)
    1. Metric 
    2. Event (selected)

  2. Tenant ID: Choose the correct CA Operational Intelligence tenant user ID from the listed selections. If you do not know your tenant ID, contact the CA Operational Intelligence administrator.

  3. Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  4. Select "Create Collectors and Continue" (after all Data Types have been configured)
