  1. Select data types (source supported data types will automatically be available in the UI; ensure Destination can ingest chosen data types

  2. Collector (Source Mediator)
    1. Event Data Type (Source)
    2. Metric Data Type (Source)
    3. Topology Data Type (Source)

  3. Distributors (Destination Mediator)
    1. Event Data Type (Destination)
    2. Metric Data Type (Destination)
    3. Topology Data Type (Destination)

  4. Select Continue

Step 6a: Configure Source Events



Step 6a: Configure Source Metrics

  1. Select Data Type to access configuration screens 
    1. Metric (selected; click here for a list of Metrics)
    2. Event
    3. Topology

  2. Metric Sources: a selection of metric sources available within Dynatrace SaaS/Managed can be found here

  3. Data Time Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace SaaS/Managed (5 minutes recommended)

  4. Data Latency: Specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Time Window is placed.

  5. Schedule Name: the scheduled frequency which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace SaaS/Managed (5 Minutes recommended)

  6. Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  7. After configuring Metrics, Events, and Topology, select "Create Collectors and Continue"

Step 6b: Configure Source Events

  1. Select Data Type to access configuration screens 
    1. Metric
    2. Event (selected)
    3. Topology

  2. Impacts: the following impact choices can be selected:
    1. All
    2. Application
    3. Environment
    4. Infrastructure
    5. Service

  3. Severities: the following severity choices can be selected:
    1. All
    2. Availability
    3. Custom Alert
    4. Error
    5. Monitoring Unavailable
    6. Performance
    7. Resource Contention

  4. Statuses: the following status choices can be selected:
    1. All
    2. Closed
    3. Open

  5. Data time Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace SaaS/Managed (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  6. Data Latency: Specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Time Window is placed.

  7. Schedule Name: the scheduled frequency which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace SaaS/Managed (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  8. Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  9. After configuring Metrics, Events, and Topology, select "Create Collectors and Continue"

Step 6c: Configure Source Topology

  1. Select Data Type to access configuration screens (do not click "Create Collectors and Continue" until all Data Types have been configured)
    1. Event
    2. Metric
    3. Topology (selected)


  1. Data Time Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace SaaS/Managed (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  2. Data Latency: Specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Time Window is placed.

  3. Schedule Name: choose a name from the drop-down: the Dynatrace SaaS/Managed scheduled frequency recommendation is 1 hour

  4. Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  5. After configuring Metrics, Events, and Topology, select "Create Collectors and Continue"
