Configure Dynatrace SaaS/Managed


Data types available from Dynatrace SaaS/Managed

  1. Select data types (source supported data types will automatically be available in the UI; ensure Destination can ingest chosen data types

  2. Collector (Source Mediator)
    1. Event Data Type (Source)
    2. Alert Data Type (Source)
    3. Metric Data Type (Source)
    4. Topology Data Type (Source)

Step 6a: Configure Source Events



Step 6a: Configure Source Events

  1. Collection Schedule: the scheduled frequency which StreamWeaver will collect event data from Dynatrace (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  2. Data Time Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  3. Data Latency: specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Time Window is placed

  4. Log Requests/Responses : Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  5. Applications : a selection of Applications is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Applications" or a specific subset of applications

  6. Hosts : a selection of Hosts is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Hosts" or a specific subset of Hosts

  7. Process Groups: a selection of Process Groups is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Process Groups" or a specific subset of Process Groups

  8. Processes: a selection of Processes is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Processes" or a specific subset of Processes

  9. Services: a selection of Services is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Services" or a specific subset of Services

  10. After configuring the selected data types Alerts, Events, Metrics and Topology, select "Create Collectors and Continue"

  1. Collection Schedule: the scheduled frequency which StreamWeaver will collect alert data from Dynatrace (5 Minutes interval recommended)
  2. Data Time Window: the historical period from present time which StreamWeaver will collect from Dynatrace (5 Minutes interval recommended)

  3. Data Latency: specifies how far back on the timeline that the Data Time Window is placed
  4. Impacts: the following impact choices can be selected:
    1. All
    2. Application
    3. Environment
    4. Infrastructure
    5. Service
  5. Severities: the following severity choices can be selected:
    1. All
    2. Availability
    3. Custom Alert
    4. Error
    5. Monitoring Unavailable
    6. Performance
    7. Resource Contention
  6. Statuses: the following status choices can be selected:
    1. All
    2. Closed
  7. Log Requests/Responses : Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver
  8. After configuring the selected data types Alerts, Events, Metrics and Topology, select "Create Collectors and Continue

  4. Metric Categories : a selection of Metric Categories is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "Select All" or a specific subset of Metric Categories

  5. Application Tags : a selection of Application Tags is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Applications" or a specific subset of applications

  6. Applications : a selection of Applications is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Applications" or a specific subset of applications

  7. Service Tags: a selection of Services is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Services" or a specific subset of Services

  8. Services: a selection of Services is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Services" or a specific subset of Services

  9. Host Tags : a selection of Host Tags is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Hosts" or a specific subset of Hosts

  10. Hosts : a selection of Hosts is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Hosts" or a specific subset of Hosts

  11. Processes: a selection of Processes is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Processes" or a specific subset of Processes

  12. Process Group Tags: a selection of Process Group Tags is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Process Groups" or a specific subset of Process Groups

  13. Process Groups: a selection of Process Groups is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "All Process Groups" or a specific subset of Process Groups

  14. V2 Metrics : a selection of V2 Metrics is automatically populated from Dynatrace; select "Select All" or a specific subset of V2 Metrics (You can search by typing the metric name)

  15. Log Requests/Responses : Advanced: Do not change unless directed by StreamWeaver

  16. After configuring the selected data types Alerts, Events, Metrics and Topology, select "Create Collectors and Continue"
