Connect: IBM Cloud Event Management

STEP FOUR: CONNECT TO DESTINATION

  1. Host: IBM Cloud Event Management Gateway or LB VIP port

  2. Agent FQDN: the fully qualified domain name of the server hosting the IBM Cloud Event Management Agent that will receive the MET data (normally this is the same as host field)

  3. Port: IBM Cloud Event Management Gateway or LB VIP port

  4. Uses HTTPS: If IBM Cloud Event Management Gateway or LB VIP port uses HTTPS, check this box

  5. Circuit Breaker Max Failures: will trip the circuit breaker (to stop overloading the destination) when this number of API failures have occurred

  6. Circuit Breaker Call Timeout: will trip the circuit breaker (to stop overloading the destination) when an API call has taken longer than this time (in seconds) to complete

  7. Circuit Breaker Reset Timeout: once tripped, the circuit breaker will attempt to reset after this time (in minutes) has expired. When the circuit breaker first resets, it goes into a `half-open` state that will allow the first call through and not allow subsequent ones. If the first call succeeds, it will move to a `fully-open` state and return to normal operation

  8. Buffer Size: Advanced option: leave default value

  9. Group Size: Advanced option: leave default value

  10. Flush Intervals

  11. Click Save IBM Cloud Event Management and Validate
