Before you install, you must
- determine how to install products
- ensure you are using the appropriate version of the installation utility
- understand target machines and their roles
Checking for Product Patches or Fixes Before Installing
Product fixes or patches are often available through the BMC Software Web site. Patches correct problems that are found after a product is released. BMC Software recommends that you check the product page for version 1.5.40 of PATROL HL KM on the BMC Software Customer Support Web page to determine whether a patch is available before you begin installing a product.
