Determining the Version of the Installation Utility
The installation instructions contained in this book pertain to version 7.4.50 of the installation utility. This version of the installation utility might be different from the version included on another product CD or from a version that you downloaded from the BMC Software Electronic Product Download (EPD) site. If you use a version of the installation utility other than version 7.4.40, the instructions in this book may not accurately describe what you see on your screen.
To determine the version of an installation utility, perform the following steps:
- Open command prompt.
- Navigate to the directory where the installation utility is located.
- Enter the following commands:
For Windows: setup.exe -v
A message box displays the version of the installation utility.
For UNIX: setup.sh -v
The installation script displays version information at the command prompt.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
