Viewing user details

After you install Remedy Single Sign-On and set up the user groups (roles), you can view the associated user information, such as the tenant and user group membership, from the TrueSight console. You can search for users by specifying a user group or search for user groups by specifying a user.

You cannot add or remove users or user groups (roles) from the TrueSight console.

Important considerations before you delete users, user groups, or tenants
  • You can create users in Remedy SSO in the default * (asterisk) tenant (realm) by logging in as an Admin user.
  • Do not include the "@" symbol in user names or tenant names.
  • When you delete a user from a user group or from Remedy SSO, the policies created by the user continue to be owned by the deleted user. The Administrator can view, delete, or disable such policies but cannot update them.
  • Before deleting users, user groups, or tenants from Remedy SSO, you must remove their associations with Monitoring policies and authorization profiles in TrueSight Presentation Server.
  • When you delete a user from a tenant (realm), the dashboards created by that user are deleted from TrueSight Presentation Server. However, the deletion of dashboards can occur 30 minutes or later after removal of the user. Consider viewing the list of shared dashboards before permanently deleting users.

  2. To search for users by specifying a user group, perform the following actions on the User Account page:
    1. Select Search by User Group.
    2. Select a tenant.
If you have a long list of tenants, you can filter the list by typing a text string in the search box.
    3. From the list of user groups, select a group from the selected tenant.
If necessary, filter the list by typing a text string in the search box.
  3. To search for user groups by specifying a user, perform the following actions on the User Account page:
    1. Select Search by Users.
    2. Select a tenant.
If you have a long list of tenants, you can filter the list by typing a text string in the search box.

Groups to which the selected user is a member are displayed under User Groups.

When you have two or more identical users (the user names are case insensitive), selecting a local user displays both local and LDAP user groups for that user. However, selecting an LDAP user displays only the LDAP user groups for that user.

  4.  To modify the tenant, user, or user group, click Manage via Remedy SSO.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
