Creating a monitoring policy to configure intelligent thresholds
You can create a monitoring policy to configure intelligent thresholds to receive alarms from BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server. For example, you want to get minor-severity alarms when the CPU utilization exceeds 80%, and you want to get major-severity alarms when the utilization exceeds 90%. To achieve this, you must set thresholds accordingly and specify appropriate monitor instances.

matchDeviceName | Specifies whether to include the associated device and use the entire string for pattern matching. Instance thresholds are applied to the matched monitor instance names or instance names patterns. The supported values are as follows:

autoClose | Specifies whether you want Infrastructure Management to automatically close the triggered event when the triggered event returns to normal state. The supported values are as follows:

minimumSamplingWindow | Minimum window of time to keep raw data points that will be considered for intelligent threshold computation. Data points outside this range are usually discarded. |
