Prerequisites of adapter for IBM Tivoli Monitoring

Before you configure and use the adapter for IBM Tivoli, ensure that you have the following prerequisites installed and running.

The Infrastructure Management adapter for IBM Tivoli requires the following conditions for successful data collection: 

• IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.1 or 6.2 
• In the IBM Tivoli Monitoring application, ensure the following: 
  • A user name and password are defined for Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) 
  • SOAP is configured without a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 
• Enable the Integration Service during BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server installation. For more information, see Knowledge Article 000029882 (Support logon ID required).
• Prepare XML files to import IBM Tivoli Monitoring agents. (For information about preparing XML files to import IBM Tivoli Monitoring Agents, see XML-files-for-IBM-Tivoli-Monitoring-agents.)
