Technical bulletin — Announcing Azul 8 Java support for BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring Software Edition version 11.0 Fix Pack 2
BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring Software Edition can now be configured to use Azul 8 Java. You must manually replace the Oracle files with the Azul 8 Java files.
Do the following:
- Log in to the system as the root user.
Download the zulu8.36.0.2-sa-jdk8.0.202-linux_x64.tar.gz package from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website.
- Extract the package in a temporary location.
The extracted package contains the following files and directories:- jre/
- bin/
- sample/
- man/
- include/
- demo/
- lib/
- THIRD_PARTY_README.txt
- Welcome.html
- readme.txt
- DISCLAIMER.txt
- CLASSPATH_EXCEPTION_NOTE.txt
- src.zip
- release.txt
- LICENSE.txt
- ASSEMBLY_EXCEPTION.txt
- Back up the <EUEM installation directory>/opt/bmc/euem/BMCEuemInstallJVM directory.
- Stop the BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring Software Edition Real Collector or Analyzer service by running one of the following commands:
- service euem_collector stop
- service euem_analyzer stop
- Delete the content from the <install_directory>/opt/bmc/euem/BMCEuemInstallJVM directory.
- Copy the content from the extracted zulu8.36.0.2-sa-jdk8.0.202-linux_x64 directory to the /opt/bmc/euem/BMCEuemInstallJVM directory.
- Start the Real End User Experience Monitoring Real User Collector or Rear User Analyzer service by running one of the following commands:
- service euem_collector start
- service euem_analyzer start
