Uninstalling Remedy SSO with the TrueSight installer
Before you begin
This process is applicable only if you had enabled automatic restart of the Remedy Single Sign-On service on a Linux computer. Before you begin uninstallation, make sure you disable automatic restart of the service by following these steps:
- Log on as a root user.
- Navigate to <installationDirectory>/rsso/bin and run the following command.
./rsso service deregister
To uninstall Remedy SSO with the installer
Follow these steps to uninstall Remedy SSO by running the TrueSight installer. Navigate through the installation wizard by clicking Next.
Step 1: Start the uninstallation program
Navigate to the following directory:
- Windows: <instalationlDirectory>\UninstallBMCTrueSightRSSO
- Linux: <instalationlDirectory>/UninstallBMCTrueSightRSSO
Then, run the uninstall.exe (for Windows) or ./uninstall.bin (for Linux) file.
Step 2: View the uninstallation preview and start the uninstallation
The installation preview provides information the product to be uninstalled (feature name) disk size space that will be freed, and the directory from which the product will be uninstalled.
Click Uninstall to start the uninstallation.
To uninstall Remedy Single Sign-On silently
Step 1: Navigate to the uninstaller directory location
Navigate to the following directory:
- Windows: <instalationlDirectory>\UninstallBMCTrueSightRSSO
- Linux: <instalationlDirectory>/UninstallBMCTrueSightRSSO
Step 2: Run the uninstallation command
On the command line, run the following command:
- Windows: uninstall.exe -i silent
- Linux: ./uninstall.bin -i silent
Post-uninstallation task
- Manually delete the installation files that might still remain in the installation directory.
- (Windows only) Go to the Control Panel and remove the program files related to Remedy Single Sign-On.
