Applying service packs or patches
Service packs and patches are interim product releases that provide minor enhancements, bug fixes, or both. They can resolve problems that were discovered after the release of the current version and can include service packs or patches that were delivered since the previous service pack or patch.
The service pack or patch installation process requires you to complete your preparatory activities before starting the installation tasks. Use the installation flow diagram and the process table to apply the service pack or patch smoothly.
