Data sheet

The information in this page is data that is obtained from internal testing. Actual performance may vary depending on your deployment environment.

The following tables shows the sizing synopses for a Reporting environment that incorporates performance data collection, impact management and event management:

Note

The below provided values represent the maximum values required for the tested parameter.

Sizing chart for event data collection (Oracle and SQL Server)

Sizing chart for performance data collection (Oracle and SQL Server)

Calculation for data points collection is as follows:

Attributes X Instances (5 instances on average) X Devices X Polling cycles (3 minutes = 20 points)

For example:

For a large environment, the calculation is: 30 X 5 X 10000 X 20 = 30 million

Sizing chart for impact data collection (Oracle and SQL Server)

Sizing chart for memory configuration (MaxHeap metrics) for Report Engine

The Report Engine application is automatically allocated memory as per the table, at the time of installation.

For information on setting the memory parameters manually, see Setting memory parameters manually.

Sizing chart for SGA of Reporting database (Oracle)

Notes

  • Total Attributes is the product of attribute multiplied by each number of unique monitor instances it collects data for.
  • Performance may vary depending on the retention period.
  • For more information about memory configuration, see Performance-tuning.

For more information about hardware requirements, see Hardware-recommendations.
