Key concepts for SAP BusinessObjects


Important

You can no longer install or upgrade the SAP Business Objects by using the TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine installer. If you want to install or upgrade SAP Business Objects, you must procure a SAP Business Objects licence and then install it. With TrueSight Operations Management Reporting, you can do one of the following:

  • Install TrueSight Smart Reporting and perform a fresh installation of Report Engine 11.3.01. See the TrueSight Smart Reporting documentation for more information.

  • Install TrueSight Smart Reporting and upgrade Report Engine to version 11.3.01.

The universe includes data such as devices, instances, groups, and component name that allow you to create event, impact, and performance related reports using the SAP BusinessObjects application.

Reports that display information about event management data. They include event details as well as summarized information of events by various parameters such as device, priority, severity. They also include event response time and top N reports.

Reports that display information about service impact management data including component metrics, status, and top N reports.

Reports that display information about performance monitoring data. They include weekly summarized data for the attribute sets such as Total CPU Utilization, Real Memory Used, and Free Disk Space.

Reports that display information about event to incident correlation data. These reports display data for Escalated Incident, Event To Incident, and Scorecard Summary.

Reports that display information about synthetic data including Execution Plan Health and Location Comparative reports.
