Connecting SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise to the BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine database

You must connect SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise to Report Engine database using Information Design Tool for SAP BusinessObjects Platform 4.1 SP3 Patch 3. You can create multiple connections using Information Design Tool for SAP Business Intelligence Platform 4.1 SP3 Patch 3. Only one connection can be defined for each universe. The database connection is saved with the universe.

Note

Before connecting to the database, ensure that you have successfully imported the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management universe and reports to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.

Perform the following tasks:

  1. Import the universe that is stored in the repository. See Importing-a-universe-that-is-stored-in-the-repository.
  2. Create a new database connection. For Oracle database, see Creating-a-new-Oracle-database-connection. For SQL Server database, see Creating-a-new-SQL-Server-database-connection.
  3. Export the universe back. See, Export the universe back to the repository.
