Starting and Stopping the Report Engine service

This section explains about how to start and stop the Report Engine service for Windows and Linux.

On Microsoft Windows systems

1. On the computer on which you have installed BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine, click Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Services.
2. On the Services window, right-click the BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine service, and click Start/Stop.
    The BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine service is started or stopped according to the selected option. Similarly, you can also restart, pause, or resume the BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine service.

On Linux systems

1. On the computer on which you have installed BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine, open the command line prompt.
2. Run the following command as root user:
   /etc/init.d/BMCTrueSightOperationsManagementReportEngine start|stop|restart
    The BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine service is started, stopped, or restarted according to the command. You can also find the status of the BMC TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine by running the following command:
   /etc/init.d/BMCTrueSightOperationsManagementReportEngine status
