Performance report
BMC TrueSight Operations Management Reporting includes a predefined Server Health report.
This Server Health report displays a server's data for a specified period. This report displays two tabs:
Tab | Description |
---|---|
Read Me | This tab shows a description of the report's information and how to configure the report, based on the specific operating system. |
Server Health | This tab shows the server name, IP address, operating system, and a graphical representation of the server's health on an hourly basis. A bar graph shows the percent of the time that the server was available during the selected time range. The line graphs show hourly summarized values for each server's attributes between the selected time range. This data includes the average and maximum usage for CPU Utilization, Memory Used, Disk Space Used and Network Utilization |

Availability graph details
The Availability graph shows the percentage of time for the server's availability or unavailability. The percentage is calculated based on the following rules:
- The Availability graph results are based on PING KM configured for the device
- The Availability attribute returns a 0 or 1 value per polling cycle.
For most operating systems, 0 means unavailable, and 1 means available.
For an Azure operating system, the State attribute is used to determine availability. A value of 1 means unavailable and 0 means available. - To calculate availability, the system uses hourly summarized data that is based on the following formula:
Availability = Sum (availability values in an hour) / Count (availability values in an hour) * 100 - Availability results can be incorrect if some data points are missing in the report engine during a particular hour.
- The No Data portion (gray color) of the Availability bar graph means that there was no data for PING KM in the report engine or Ping KM is not configured for that device.
Each bar in the Availability graph represents an hour. If the device was not working during a specific hour for 30 minutes, the bar for that hour half green and half in red
.
Server Health report monitor types and attributes
The following table lists the monitor type and attributes in the Server Health report, based on operating systems. These attributes must be added in the External Report attribute set on the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management operational console.
