cell_config command


The cell_config command enables you to configure TrueSight Infrastructure Management Management cells for TrueSight Operations Management Report Engine.

Arguments for the cell_config command

Available options for the cell_config command are:

  • add
  • edit
  • subscribe
  • unsubscribe
  • remove
  • list
  • register
  • unregister

Options for the cell_config command

If you have installed TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server with non-default encryption Key (default is mc), perform the following steps to see the Event data:

  1. On the Report Engine host computer navigate to:
    For Windows, the BMCTrueSightReportEngineInstallDir\ReportEngine\conf\properties\smsConsoleServer directory
    For Linux, the BMCTrueSightReportEngineInstallDir\ReportEngine\conf\properties directory
  2. Edit the following value:
    For Windows, the com.bmc.sms.eventaggregator.jserverEncryptionKey property in aggregator.properties file from mc to the encryption key you provided while installing TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server
    For Linux, the smsConsoleServercom.bmc.sms.eventaggregator.jserverEncryptionKey property from mc to the encryption key you provided while installing TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server
  3. Restart the Report Engine service.
