Event notifications
The Product Administrator sets monitoring intervals for user-managed IBM WebSphere MQ objects. These intervals affect the 'production' of events in the following way: the more frequently an object is monitored, the quicker an active event is produced (assuming that conditions for triggering the event are met). Note that active events can be either warning or critical in nature, and tied to mail notifications or script executions.
The Product Administrator can also set up notifications of individuals when specific events occur - as well as configure automatic script execution on event incidence. This is done in the admin console (via Navigation Panel > Settings), where the Product Administrator can configure the SMTP settings for sending email alerts, monitoring intervals, and other settings.
This helps explain event behavior and why you may receive event notifications. Again, no user actions are required.
