Managing processes

In IBM WebSphere MQ, a process definition contains application information that starts when a trigger event on a queue manager occurs. Event triggering can be tied to creation of a process definition. Further, process definitions can be unique to a queue, or can be shared across multiple queues.

When you create process definitions, the queue manager extracts the information from the process definition and places it in the trigger message for the monitor to use.

To display the Processes view, select it from the Navigation Panel:

Summary view operations available from the Operations drop-down menu are: Copy As New Process, Delete, Permissions, Audit, Tag Process.

To access the selected Process's Properties Editor, click on the Process Name.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
