Uploading and importing messages

You can upload or import messages to a queue or topic messages to a file.

To upload/import messages

  1. In the Messages for Queue Summary View, select Upload/Import from the queue's Operations drop-down menu.
  2. Click Browse.
  3. In the File Upload dialog box, navigate to the file that contains a saved message and click Open.
  4. Select Parameters as required for the message, including the file type. From the Upload Type option box, select from BMM Administration Message File, Single Message File, or Delimited Message(s) File. The Delimited Message(s) File option uploads a single message for each delimited portion of the file, based on the delimiter specified by the user in the Message Delimiter field. This field is enabled when Delimited Message(s) File is selected, and includes the newline option, which will parse a single message from every line in the file.

  5. Click Import to import the message and save the message to the queue.

A confirmation message is displayed in the status pane. The status pane message tells you how many messages were successfully uploaded. Single Message File always reports one message. The other two upload types will vary depending upon the amount of messages in the file.

See also the Editing-messages section for further information.
