Managing routes
Routes are employed to connect two TIBCO EMS servers and enable the exchange of messages between them. Determining routes in TIBCO EMS is a function of established network protocols, and can be single-hop or multi-hop, active or passive.
You may want to change configuration parameters to improve current routes, or change or delete routes.
Route Selectors, an important component of this view's functionality, sets filters for incoming and outgoing messages. By specifying message selectors on routes, topic messages that traverse each route are minimized. This reduces network traffic.
Selecting Routes from the Navigation Panel displays the Routes Summary View:

Operations available:
- Copy As New Route: Copies the selected route. You can also create a route, as described below.
- Delete: Delete the route.
- Incoming Selectors: View, edit, add, delete, Copy As New Selector and audit incoming selectors.
- Outgoing Selectors: View, edit, add, delete, Copy As New Selector, and audit outgoing selectors.
- Tag Route: Add a route to a tag.
- Audit: View the last related (10) audit log entries.
To access the selected Route's Properties Editor, click on the Route Name.
