Managing groups

The Groups option provides a summary of all groups that are configured on the TIBCO EMS server.

While Groups lets you administer all aspects of group identity, it is also useful to change both destination and administrative permissions for selected groups on a parameter-by-parameter basis.

Administration permissions control the extent to which members of that group can change aspects of managed TIBCO EMS servers.

Warning

Note

These permissions are distinct from the TrueSight Middleware Administrator permissions.

Select the Groups option from the Navigation Panel to display the Groups Summary View:

    Warning

    Note

The Members field is expected to be a comma-separated list of user names. Using commas is part of required formatting so that the list is functional.

  1. Select the Groups object for the selected Server.
  2. From the Operations drop-down menu, select Destination Permissions.
All destination permissions for the group are listed here. You can drill down into any topic or queue defined in the destination list and change permissions for this group. You can also add permissions for a new destination for this group.
