Managing users

The Users option has an identical purpose to the groups function. It lets the TIBCO EMS administrator view and edit properties and permissions for various users.

The permissions are the same: Destination and Administration. Respectively, they control general administrative privileges and access to specific destinations.

When you select the Users object from the Navigation Panel, the Users Summary View is displayed:

Operations available:

  • Copy As New User: Copies the selected user. You can also create a new user, as described below.
  • Delete: Delete user.
  • Admin Permissions: View and edit the Admin permissions for the selected user.
  • Destination Permissions: View and edit EMS Destination permissions for the user (you can also Add, Delete, Copy as New Permission and Audit the Destination Permissions). Note that the Inherited Destination Permissions inherited from group permissions assignments are displayed (you can see whether a permission is inherited or not (true/false)).
  • Tag User: Associate user with a tag.
  • Audit: Lets you view the last related (10) audit log entries and access audit events related to users, such as a record of changes made previously to the selected user.

To access the selected User's Properties Editor, click on the User name.
