Starting services after installation

This topic describes how to start services after installing on a Windows or Linux platform.

Starting the Windows Service

After installing TrueSight Middleware Administrator, you must start the service before accessing the application.

To start the Windows service:

  1. Open Windows Services: Start>All Programs>Administrative Tools>Component Services.
  2. Select Services from the Console Root window.
  3. Locate the BMC TrueSight Middleware Administrator service.
  4. Start the service.

Starting the Linux Service

To start the service on Linux, run the following commands:

cd <installdir>
./bin/admin --start
