The Local Queues object

Local queues are message storage containers for queue managers.

Local queues are local to the managing queue manager. This makes them distinct from remote queues, which refer to queues on a separate queue manager or alias queues (which redirect to other queues and do not store messages on their own).

The Local Queues Summary View is shown below:

The categories for Local Queues are generic and shared by most Queue Manager summaries.

Summary view operations available from the Operations drop-down menu are: Copy As New Queue, Delete, Permissions, Audit, Put Messages, Upload/Import, Copy Messages, Move Messages, Find Messages, Clear Queue, Tag Queue.

Local Queues Properties

To access the Local Queues Properties Editor, click on the relevant queue name in the workspace. Edit those properties/fields that are enabled, using the various text entry fields, pull-down menus or combo boxes to change values for any property.

Use the scroll bars to view and edit the full range of properties.
