To filter the services by service type

Use the quick filters callout_1.PNG to filter the services by service type. This is the top-level filter applied to the services on the Services page as shown in the preceding figure.

Note

The quick filters areacallout_2.PNGis used to filter services by status or priority.

If you do not select any filters in the quick filters area callout_1.PNG, by default, All Services filter is applied to the Services page.

The number of tabs (filtering options) that appear in the quick filters areacallout_1.PNGdepends on the number of CIs that are configured as services. If you have not configured any CI types as Services, then the following five filtering options are displayed by default:

  • All Services: If you select this option, all the services are displayed on the Services page.
  • Top-Level Services: If you select this option, the top-level root node services that do not have parents are displayed.

In a cyclic service model, no node is considered as the top-level root node and such services are not listed under the Top-Level Services category.

  • Business Services: If you select this option, the services of type Business Service and of sub-type BusinessService are displayed.
  • Technical Services: If you select this option, the services of type Business Service and of sub-type TechnicalService are displayed.
  • Unknown Services: If you select this option, the services of type Business Service and of sub-type Unknown are displayed.

The other tabs such as Activity, Application, Concrete Collection, Logical Entity, Media, etc. that are appearing in the preceding example are because the respective CI Types are configured as services.
