Managing classes using BMC CMDB

The Common Data Model (CDM) that is shipped with the BMC CMDB may require modifications for your specific business requirements. In such a scenario, you can define properties for Configuration Items (CI) classes by using Class Manager. The properties of a class define the class and how it stores data.

To set the class Custom Properties field

Your administrator would have configured a URL of the following type:
http://<aRServer>:<jettyPort>/cmdb/index.html or https://<aRServer>:<jettyPort>/cmdb/index.html, where the Jetty port is typically 8008.
  2. Log in with your credentials.
  3. Open Class Manager.
Go to Class Management > Classes.
  4. In the left navigation pane under the Classes tab, input the class name in the Filter_By_Class_Name Filter_By_Class_Name search box to search the class which you want to sim enable by setting the Custom Properties field.
