Correlating events

Infrastructure Management provides event correlation policies and correlation rules so that you can define relationships between (correlate) events. Correlation defines cause and effect relationships between events. Correlating events reduces the number of events generated because only the cause events are displayed and not the effect events. Event correlation also improves the accuracy of probable cause analysis.
