Triage processing

The triage phase of the OS Disk Space Full workflow consists mainly of the following action:

  • Extracting the configuration data
  • Invoking the triage command

The workflow accesses the AutoPilot Credentials store to obtain the credentials (host name, user name and password, invocation mechanism, protocol, and so forth) to run a series of OS commands that check the disk space usage of the target system. Refer to Understanding Triage and Remediation for a listing of the triage commands.

In completing the triage phase, the workflow takes the triage information, creates or updates an incident, and adds the information to an Incident Workinfo in the incident management system, as shown in the examples in the following figure and the following figure.

The Incident Workinfo is depicted in the example in the following figure:

The incident work information contains the details of the triage action, such as the triage command and the exit code of the triage action. If the exit code is 0, the triage execution is successful.

After completing the triage phase, the workflow continues next to the remediation phase, which is carried out through the change management process.
