Administering events

Event administration includes the following tasks:

  • Defining threshold values that determine when events are generated
  • Filtering the event rule list
  • Defining and updating basic, advanced, and other event types
  • Eliminating duplicate events and limiting the number of events that are generated and sent
  • Using variables to compose and customize event text to be incorporated into email messages
