Oracle database troubleshooting

The following issue can occur when you are using Oracle as the Infrastructure Management Database.

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01653: unable to extend table <Table Name> by <###> in tablespace <Table Space Name>

Explanation:
This error occurs if the tablespace is full or if there is insufficient disk space to extend the tablespace after you have run Infrastructure Management for sometime.

User Response:
Extend the tablespace by performing the following tasks:

  1. Add a DATAFILE to the Infrastructure Management tablespace.
  2. Resize the DATAFILE.
  3. Enable AUTOEXTEND.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
