Configuring BMC Performance Manager for Cisco UCS Manager in the PATROL Console
To configure BMC Performance Manager for Cisco UCS Manager in the PATROL Console:
- Activate the Register CISCO UCS Manager Environment command in Cisco UCS Manager.
- Fill the information as shown in the figure below and click OK.
If you want to monitor BMC Performance Manager for Virtual Servers and BMC Performance Manager for Cisco Nexus, select the Register vCenter for Monitoring and Register Fabric and Gateway Switches for Monitoring check boxes respectively. - If you selected the Register vCenter for Monitoring check box, the Register vCenter for VSM KM dialog box is displayed as shown below. Fill in the vCenter information and click OK.
If you selected the Register Fabric and Gateway Switches for Monitoring check box, the Register Cisco Nexus Switch dialog box is displayed as shown below.
After entering the configuration information, the tree view in the PATROL Console resembles the figure below.
New monitor instances for BMC Performance Manager for Cisco Nexus and BMC Performance Manager for Virtual Servers are displayed in the tree view of the PATROL Console based on the configuration data you entered when configuring BMC Performance Manager for Cisco UCS Manager.
