Testing an automated incident

You can test an automated incident that you create by sending an event to IBRSD using the msend command. For example:

msend -a EVENT -r CRITICAL -m "Test Ticket" -b "mc_priority=PRIORITY_1;mc_ueid=TestID;status=OPEN" -n @<BPPMServerHostName>:3115#mc_

A BMC Remedy Service Desk ticket called Test Ticket appears in the Summary screen.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
