Starting the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server


After you have stopped the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server, you must restart it manually. To restart the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server, follow the procedure appropriate for your operating system.

To start the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server on Microsoft Windows

  1. From the system icon tray, right-click the Infrastructure Management icon pnet_sys_tray_icon.gif.
  2. Select Server Start.

To start the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server on Linux/Solaris operating systems

  1. Access the pw CLI.
  2. Enter pw sys start.

Server processes

The BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server contains multiple processes including the following:

  • Apache web server
  • JBOSS application server
  • Embedded event management cell
  • Agent Controller
  • Rate process
  • Additional application server processes

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
