pw viewhistory

The pw viewhistory command displays changes made to a BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server installation. These changes are recorded in the history file. The history file contains a log of patches and hotfixes applied.

Note

The history file contains a log of only those hotfixes and patches applied through an installation package. If you upgrade a remote agent to a newer version, the history file will not contain a log of this upgrade.

The syntax for this command is as follows:

pw viewhistory [-s <startDate> -e <endDate>] | [-a <agentName>]
Example

Run the following command to view history file entries within the time range specified. Enter the start and end dates in the mm/dd/yyyy format.

pw viewhistory -s 02/01/2014 -e 03/01/2014

Run the following command to view entries in the history file related to the agent name specified:

pw viewhistory  -a myagent1

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
