Anatomy of a status computation model

A status computation model defines the following information:

  • The algorithm used by each of the functions involved in status computation
  • A no-alert status value that applies only when the consolidate_function returns NONE. The no-alert status is acceptable for all the default status computation functions.
  • A quorum percentage that applies only when the impact_function uses the QUORUM algorithm
  • An external algorithm that applies only when the impact_function uses the EXTERNAL placeholder
