Logging on to the operator console

1. Open a Web browser.
2. Enter the host name or IP address of the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server.
3. In the Infrastructure Management Logon screen, enter a valid user name and password.

4. To log on for the first time after installation, use the following default values:
   -user name: admin
   -password: admin
   
   

   Note

   The default protocol for this connection is HTTP. To log on using a secure HTTPS connection, click the link Switch to Secure Mode on the logon page. If you use HTTPS, Infrastructure Management encrypts the information relay from the Web interface for additional security. Secure connection mode is indicated by the text You are using a secure connection now.

5. Click Log On.

To log on to the Operations Console faster, select the Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP option on the WINS tab of the Advanced TCP/IP Setting dialog box (Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Properties > Advanced).
