Using the audit.log file to troubleshoot the configuration
Auditing enables you to record information related to the creation, update, and deletion of users, SLOs, event rules, and so on. This feature logs the data in the audit.log file. You can configure the properties of the audit.log file in the pronet.conf file.
Scope of the audit.log file
The default value of the pronet.audit.logToFile property is true. Set this value to false if you do not want to append the log file.
The audit log file provides information about the following Infrastructure Management features:
- Users
- SLOs
- Event (or Alarm) rules
- Access controls
- Views
- Reports
- Groups
- Services
- Monitors
The audit.log file displays the following details:
- Information about the action
- Date and time when the message was logged
- Name of the subsystem
- Information ID
- Type of the object
- Name of the object
- Action performed
- Action performed by
- Date and time when the action was performed
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
