Installing the BMC Atrium Orchestrator platform
Installing platform components is a prerequisite for installing BMC Atrium Orchestrator content, which includes adapters, modules, and runbooks. The BMC Atrium Orchestrator platform component installer enables you to install and configure the Configuration Distribution Peer (CDP), BMC Atrium Orchestrator Operator Control Panel (OCP), graphing server, and Access Manager (AM) components. The platform component installer allows you to install components in a existing web server environment or in a new web server. BMC recommends installing the CDP component in a new web server environment to ensure good performance, unless you are upgrading a previously installed version.
Before you can install the BMC Atrium Orchestrator content, install or upgrade the CDP to the version indicated in the System Requirements and Product Compatibility document on the Customer Support website at http://www.bmc.com/support_home
Install or upgrade the following required BMC Atrium Orchestrator platform components in order:
- Access Manager and Repository
- Configuration Distribution Peer (CDP), with Grid Manager (GM)
- BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio
