pw set


The pw set command sets the Control tab parameters for a selected device or for all devices on your Device list. The preceeding table lists Control tab parameters and other information required for this command. In this case, only the COLLECTDATA  attribute name applies because the other choices are related to SNMP monitors. 

To view help information, run the following command:

pw set

The syntax for this command format is as follows:

pw set [<IPaddress>] <monitoredObjectName> <attributeName> <value>

If you do not enter IPaddress, these changes apply to all devices. If you do not specify an IP address you could, for example, turn Collect Data off for every device on your system in a single operation.

pw set snmp

Use the pw set snmp command to set any SNMP system constant from one value to another value. To use this command, you must have prior knowledge of your Infrastructure Management system constants and values.

The command format is as follows:

pw set smp <Name> <Value>

The following figure shows an example list of Infrastructure Management system constants, including columns for the <Name> and <Value> portions of this command:
