pw license
The pw license commands display license information and allow you to make updates to the Infrastructure Management license.

The following pw license commands are available:
- pw license fingerprint
- pw license list
- pw license update
- pw license usage
pw license fingerprint
The pw license fingerprint command displays the fingerprint for the server. The fingerprint is based on the address of the server computer. The use of the fingerprint depends on the type of license desired and can be included in the license file to restrict the installation to a specific server computer. pw license list
The pw license list command displays server license information, such as expiration date and node locking. The values displayed depend on the specific license used for an installation. The syntax for the command is follows:
The command output depends on the specific license used for an installation. In the following example, the license has no expiration date and is not node locked into a particular server computer.

pw license update
The pw license update command loads or updates the license information on the server, depending on whether it is a new installation or upgrade installation, respectively. For more information, see Applying-licenses-to-the-BMC-TrueSight-Infrastructure-Management-Server-installations.

pw license usage
The pw license usage command generates an XML file that contains server details and all features that are licensed for use. The syntax for this command is as follows:
email is the customer contact email address. If you do not want to send an email, enter none.
domain is the server computer domain name. If there is no domain name, enter none.
