pw cmadmin
The pw cmadmin commands support the use of the Central Monitoring Administration console.
The following users have permissions to run this command:
- On UNIX and Linux: root user
- On Microsoft Windows: users belonging to the Administrators group
- All users of Infrastructure Management with Administrator privileges
pw cmadmin enable
If you did not enable Central Monitoring Administration during the installation of the Central Server, run the pw cmadmin enable command from the Central Server to enable it.
Ensure that the Infrastructure Management Central Monitoring Repository is installed before you enable Central Monitoring Administration. If you did not install the Central Monitoring Repository during the regular installation process, you can install it by using the pw repository update command. For information about the pw repository update command, see pw-repository-update.
Syntax for pw cmadmin enable command
After running the pw cmadmin enable command, restart the Central Server.
pw cmadmin registerChildServer
Run this command from a child BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server to register the child server with a specified Central Monitoring Administration.

Run this command from a Child Server to remove the child server registration from a specified Central Monitoring Administration.
