Launching the Infrastructure Management administrator console on Solaris and  Linux

Perform the following procedure to start the Infrastructure Management administrator console on Solaris or Linux.

To launch the administrator console on Solaris or Linux

1. On the computer where the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server is installed, from a command line, enter:
   pw admin

   
   

   Note

   To use the administrator console from a remote computer, source the profile using the .tmcsh script located in the /usr/pw/pronto/bin directory before entering the pw admin command.

2. Specify the following information:
   
   • Name or IP Address of the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server that you want to connect to. 
   • User name with access rights to the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server. The default is admin. 
   • Password corresponding to the user name. The default is admin.
     
      To change the password from the default, see Changing-your-administrator-console-password. 
   • The type of connection to connect to the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server is a direct connection.

3. Click OK.
   
   The administrator console is displayed as shown in the following figure:
