Troubleshooting remote action policy issues
The remote action policy fails to run on the PATROL Agents and displays the following error message:
Probable cause:
The remote action policy fails to run on the PATROL Agents as the impact administrator server (ias) user credentials fetched from the JServer process in the cell component are blank.
Resolution:
Do the following to update the ias user credentials in the credential_repository.xml file:
- Go to the <Infrastructure Management Installation Directory>\pw\pronto\conf directory.
Open the credential_repository.xml file, and ensure that the ias_user userid="bppmws_internal" entry is present for the PATROL Agent on which the remote action will be run. If it is not present, create a credential record for the bppmws_internal user using the iadmin command. For details, see Managing credential records for applications on remote systems.
Note: If you want to change the password for the bppmws_internal user, see pw internaluser.
- Restart the Infrastructure Management server.
