Infrastructure Management CLI commands

The TrueSight Infrastructure Management Command Line Interface (CLI) provides:

  • An alternative to using the Administrator Console for Infrastructure Management setup operation.
  • The ability to perform diagnostics on your system.

You must launch the Infrastructure Management CLI before running any of the Infrastructure Management CLI commands. For help on how to display the CLI, see Accessing-the-Command-Line-Interface. It is helpful to be familiar with Windows command interpreter, UNIX, and shell commands when using the CLI.

All Infrastructure Management CLIs can be used for the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server. Some Infrastructure Management CLIs can be used with the Integration Service. Commands that can be used with the Integration Service will be noted specifically in the individual command description.

Note

On a Infrastructure Management Server running on Solaris or Linux, run the mcell and pserver commands in a shell separate from the shell in which you run the pw CLI commands.
